Sometimes, when you arrive in theater a little late for a movie, you don't miss too much but in case of 'The Mechanic' there is so much in the first five minutes especially Jason Statham changing many outfits, travel thousands of miles, had a swim, narrowly escaped an impossible situation.

First half of the film is very fast and quick and the first half has nothing unnecessary. The Mechanic has a cunning plan and you have to keep your eyes and ears well opened to keep yourself with the pace of the film. The movie brings the audience into a scene as late as possible, and get out as quickly. Sometimes you might even think that how did he escape but you won't have time to think because movie quickly moves to the next scene.

Jason Statham easily fits into the role of an assassin, a killer for hire and he does that with perfection until Ben Foster is introduced. It won't be wrong if I say it’s the time The Mechanic shows some promise and spark.
In The Mechanic Simon West doesn't come anywhere his best. In the second half The Mechanic was something I was expecting it to be. But the way I watches it was unique and interesting.

The Mechanic doesn't have the stuff you remember for long. But what it does have is an strong approach to action, eschewing massive special effects, fussy editing and assorted distractions and many more.

In the end The Mechanic is not memorable movie but it does have loads of action and entertainment.
